Meet Our Founder
Dean Winters, a 19-Year-old College Student-Athlete, founded Up To Speed in September of 2024. Dean was a participant in the IAC’s National History Bee in 2018, placing within the top 250 in the Nation. Through this performance, Winters qualified to the History Bee Championship in Beijing, China, solidifying his spot as one of the most accomplished young historians in America. Throughout High-School, Dean used his knowledge of American History to help transition into the world of politics. Winters is a talented speaker and began participating in live debates throughout the summer of 2024, with several of these debates amassing over 10,000 concurrent viewers. A leader on and off the field, Dean brings the passion and knowledge necessary to lead Up To Speed.
